Friends of Tateuchi reconnect at annual meeting
With a little wine and a healthy dose of cookies, Tateuchi Center’s friends wasted no time reconnecting and sharing their passion for how this new home for the performing arts will help our Eastside community flourish at this year’s Board and Annual Meeting.
At this meeting, we welcomed some new faces to the Tateuchi Center team: Jenni Flinders and Fred McConkey as our newest Board members; Molly McConkey and Lorri Ayers as Campaign Committee members; Sheryl Neupert as an Advisory Council member; and Kathy Haggart, Bellevue Boys and Girls Club President, and Stanko Milov, founder and Executive Director of GOAL and LEAP Academy, as Arts Advocates.
A captivating performance by Chloe Zhan and Aaron Yu, students from the LEAP Academy, emphasized the pressing need for arts education spaces here on the Eastside. Eric Stelter, our fearless Building Committee Chair, gave an update on the much-needed current redesign process to perfect the building plans.
Our donors, Board members, Community and Arts Advocates, and hard-working Campaign Committee members are truly “woven from many strands.” Tateuchi Center will forever reflect back to all of us the best evidence of our shared humanity, diverse backgrounds, and love for the arts. This building, and more importantly, the life within it, will be made possible thanks to the thoughtful investments of time, talent, treasure, and heart from thousands of people and organizations across the region
Decisions discussed at this annual meeting launch a crucial phase in the realization of Tateuchi Center. Please contact our Board Chair Alex Smith or our Building Committee Chair Eric Stelter with your questions at email@example.com.
